How to get rid of skunk smell?

  • Deodorizer

    Mix of water and vinegar proves to be very useful for removing skunk smell from pets. To try this fantastic way, you will need a large mixing bowl. In that add ¼ part vinegar and 1 part water. The ratio will be 1:4. Take this mixture and rub the same on the fur of the animal and let it stay for minimum 5-10 minutes. Use plain water for rinsing the solution off. The skunk odor disappears slowly.

  • The pet’s teeth need brushing

    Skunk smell can come from the pet’s teeth. Use baking soda or a specialized pet’s toothpaste for cleaning the teeth of the pet. You must never ever use any kind of human toothpaste to brush your pet’s teeth.

  • Hydrogen peroxide, liquid soap and baking soda

    Pet stinks can be commonly removed with the help of baking soda, liquid soap and hydrogen peroxide. Take ¼ cup of baking soda and mix the same with 1 liter of 3% hydrogen peroxide. Mingle all the ingredients thoroughly. Make sure that you wear a glove before mixing the same. The solution should be transferred to a spray bottle. Now spray your pets with the solution. Leave it there for 5-10 minutes. Shampoo your pets thoroughly with a pet shampoo after that.

  • Tomato juice

    You might experience skunk smell on the face of the dog. Tomato juice is a great way of getting rid of that smell permanently. The best thing about the remedy is that it is completely safe. In a bowl keep freshly made tomato juice. Soak a clean cloth in the same so that it becomes dabbed in the tomato juice. Rub the face of the pet with the juice. Just see that the juice does not enter the eyes of the pet in any way.
